This is pretty earth shattering for me. GET THIS. I am barely watching TV anymore. Ok, that isn't so awesome sounding. Lemme explain.
I LOVE TV. My DVR and I have an almost scandalous relationship. After I put the kids to bed or during any free time I had during the day I would catch up on 'my shows'. My shows included:
So You Think You Can Dance
Extreme Home Makeover
The Lying Game
Secret Life
Pretty Little Liars
Make it or Break it
Grey's Anatomy
Private Practice
Revenge
Suburgatory
Rachael Ray
The Occasional Movie or Children's Program
(DVRed shows were 90% mine)
Most of those shows were very interesting and had a good story line, but weren't very good for me to watch. I am coming to know that now. I would justify watching them saying that I was keeping up the what the YL girls were watching. I'm not kidding.
I realized that my TV watching was out of control and I started to pray about it. I would try to make changes, but they never really happened. I prayed some more. In February I got a new HD DVR and decided not to put anything on it...well, except Rachael Ray (she's taught me so much, lol) and SYTYCD will be recorded this summer.
I don't even miss 'my shows'. It's freakin amazing.
My desire for TV is being replaced with a desire/passion/yearning for God and his truth. I am not the same and I cannot take credit for this change. I prayed and God did this in me. I currently have 12 Rachael Rays waiting for me on the DVR. Ah, I'll get to them sometime, lol.
Next thing to conquer: I check my phone, fb, and email way too often. Ugh, no pain, no gain...right? Good thing God helps us!

Kelly's DAY NINE
As I write this, I am half chuckling because the NAKED gal I got cut off from on the chat just emailed me with more NAKED information on NAKED juice! I feel like I could officially run the place with the amount of information I know about NAKED (and, I just like saying NAKED...I think it's funny)!
Day nine.
I have begun to crave protein.
I had a total of three spoonfuls of peanut butter today.
I also had celery and hummus, a couple cups of OJ, some plantain chips, a baked sweet potato and sauteed butternut squash.
I tried to convince myself that I did not want the cheeseburgers my family ate, but I was just lying to myself. I also almost ate some corn casserole tonight on accident. Corn, right?! I think I kept going for it because of the corn, but then couldn't eat it because of the butter and jiffy cornbread mix. Come to think of it, I forgot the sour cream. I wonder how it tasted! HAHA!
Anyhow, some CRAZY stuff has come up in the last 24 hours that I might be able to tell you about in the next couple of days. I'm just thankful that I'm in the thick of this fast so I was able to hear from God! BAM!
In the meantime...go get NAKED! (The juice, folks! THE JUICE!!!)

NAKED JUICE
Hey All!
Kelly here!
I've begun taking notes when I visit the grocery store so that I can do the research on these companies and let you know at the end of this what products (ie. snacks, drinks etc) are "Kelly approved." I already have a pretty good list going, and I have a little free time since kids are either napping, playing with friends, or at school, so I decided to research the first company on my list: NAKED.
Now, you've heard of "NAKED juice," right? They're in the square bottles? 100% fruit and vegetables? Yeah, that one. Well, I just chatted with a Naked representative (hopefully she wasn't LITERALLY NAKED).

Kristin's Day Eight
Kristin's Food of Day Eight -
Breakfast:
Some cooked diced potato, orange juice, apple
Mid-morning:
My oh so tasty Hominy, spinach, mushroom, marinara dish
Lunch:
Mushrooms and carrots in hummus and some natural peanut butter with celery
Dinner:
Grilled Eggplant and a salad with marinara sauce on it (I don't have an approved salad dressing yet, lol)
Dessert:
Grapes and Strawberries with natural pb on the side
Andy (the hubby) asked me if I was sick of this yet and honestly...I'm not. Crazy thing is, I'm not there yet. Yes, I do miss the other foods, but I'm being satisfied with fruits, veggies, beans, and nuts.
It was funny though. At dinner, the eggplant tasted buttery to me (going without dairy may have taste bud side effects?). Andy took a bite and looked at me like...'woman, you have completely lost it.' Yep, maybe I have babe, maybe I have!
I tell you what though...I am willing to LOSE IT ALL for Christ, lol.
